Starting with the 100 year old home

This residential project revitalizes a 100-year-old, single-story stone house that withstood the Lebanese civil war. Preserving its historic stonework, we infused a modern twist into the design, seamlessly blending heritage with contemporary living to create a unique, new home for a big family.

complementing rather than competing

For the original stone house, we used white paint so the new addition complements rather than competes, and incorporated corten steel to blend with the surroundings and complete the missing historic elements

Function Distribution

The Ground floor features an open floor plan, seamlessly connecting the dining room, living room, and kitchen. Large openings provide access to the surrounding gardens, creating a fluid indoor-outdoor flow and enhancing functionality throughout the space.

Seamless Harmony of Heritage and Modernity

The interior design extends the exterior’s character by showcasing the original stone walls indoors, creating a cohesive flow between inside and outside. Corten steel elements continue into the interior, subtly influencing the choice of furniture, which echoes its warm tones and industrial elegance.
